Shark is a lean, low-fat marine protein naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids, complete protein, and, particularly in the cartilage, some of the highest natural concentrations of glucosamine and chondroitin available in a whole-food format. These compounds support joint structure, cartilage integrity and mobility without the need for isolated supplements. As a marine protein that exists entirely outside of commercial pet food formulations, shark is also a novel protein, carrying a very low risk of triggering an immune response, making it a valuable option for allergy management and elimination diets.
